Enlite has partnered with Mabira Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education for women and children, to donate towards their cause. The initiative is aimed at empowering women and their children through education, which is an essential tool for breaking the cycle of poverty.
Sanjeev Thakur, the CEO of Enlite, emphasized the importance of businesses making an impact in society beyond just being profitable. "We have a responsibility in the business world to create impact, not just be profitable. That responsibility can't just be a marketing effort or a corporate initiative. Impact needs to be the core of a business," he said.
Enlite has committed $18,000 to this cause and has already raised over half of that amount. The funds will be used to provide educational resources, such as textbooks, computers, and other materials, to women and their children.
The partnership between Enlite and Mabira is an example of how businesses can use their resources to make a positive impact in society. By supporting education, Enlite is not only contributing to the betterment of individuals and communities but is also investing in the future of the society as a whole.
This initiative is also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
